Simple File Transfer Support

Before You Contact Support

• Confirm both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.
• On Windows Store installs, use a trusted network marked Private; the package installs and removes its own private-profile rule. Portable ZIP users can press Allow access on private Wi-Fi once and approve the restricted helper.
• On iPhone, scan the QR code shown by the Windows app and open the page in Safari.
• Use the LAN IP address shown in the QR URL. 127.0.0.1 works only on the Windows PC itself.

Known Limitations

• Native iOS App Store builds must be produced on macOS with Xcode.
• The Chrome extension opens the pairing page through the Rust native host and can stage public HTTP(S) URLs. It does not directly capture authenticated webpage downloads or arbitrary local files yet.
• On Windows, Send clipboard prefers an image when one is present and otherwise sends clipboard text. Clipboard images always enter the review queue as a temporary PNG before any transfer.
• Public Wi-Fi networks may block local device discovery and transfer.
• Windows can stage files, folders, text, HTTP/HTTPS links, and clipboard text after you explicitly press the matching send command. Android folder receiving is not available yet.
• iPhone Safari can download files and typed payloads but cannot reconstruct folders. Use the native Simple File Transfer iOS app for a staged folder; Safari disables the raw folder-body download.
• A newly staged Windows item should appear on the paired iPhone page within about three seconds. If it does not, return Safari to the foreground and confirm the pairing PIN has not expired.
• The Windows QR card shows the remaining pairing time. When it says the code expired, choose Refresh QR and scan the new code; refreshing an old Safari URL cannot renew its PIN.
• Premium purchases are platform-specific in version 1. Use Restore Purchases on iPhone or Restore purchase on Windows while signed into the account that bought that platform's product.
• In the Windows app, open ? to copy non-sensitive version, Windows, architecture, plan, and transfer-service details for a support request.
• Optional screenshot-folder watching stays off until you choose a folder, confirm the disclosure, and save. Use Pause in the app or tray to stop automation without clearing settings; use Disable and clear to stop watching and erase the capture outbox. Auto-send requires an explicitly trusted device.
• Lifetime Pro quiet hours keep captures queued during the configured local-time window. If the Microsoft Store license is temporarily unavailable, safety stays on; use Restore purchase or explicitly turn quiet hours off. Review and manual send remain available.
• Use Connection Doctor on the Windows connect card for layered diagnostics (discovery, trust, Private Wi-Fi, VPN/tunnel warnings that do not blame Bluetooth, QR reachability, pairing expiry, receiver health, disk). Prefer Retry connection before Forget. The diagnostic receipt copies states and versions only — never pairing PINs, keys, tokens, or full file paths.
